Saturday, Sept. 9
Opening Scripture
Come, let’s shout praises to God, raise the roof for the Rock who saved us! Let’s march into his presence singing praises, lifting the rafters with our hymns! -Psalm 95:1-2. I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. -Psalm 9:1
Take a moment as you begin your prayer time by reflecting on who God is and the things he has done that cause you to praise or celebrate him.
Prayer Time
This week we kick-off our fall series called Finding the Way, and will take a look sections of the book of Acts and the early church. Pray for God to continue to help us grow and thrive as the church he called and created us to be.
Pray for our This Gen Staff & VIPs who help love & lead, shape & serve our children and students
At the heart of the Rock church is setting a priority and being intentional about pouring into and empowering young people. Pray for our staff and leaders who have accepted the challenge and opportunity to pour into those lives.
Closing scripture
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. -1 Timothy 4:12
Pray for our young people (and in your own life), that they would lead the way in setting an example for others in the way the talk, love, treat others and conduct their lives.

Sunday Sept. 10
Opening Scripture
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me…Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise. -Psalm 51:10, 15. I lift my up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. -Psalm 123:1
Take a moment to ask God to give you a heart that reflects his, and to reveal anything in your heart that you need to surrender or release to him.
Prayer Time
This week kicks-off our Fall Pathway course. This is a great way for long time followers and people new to faith to connect to Jesus and others and grow in their walk. Pray for all our Pathway hosts and participants and for this to be a powerful experience.
Marriage is a beautiful gift and union given by God, and the first area we see Satan attack in scripture. Pray for healthy marriages that thrive and reflect well God’s design and desire.

Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. -Philippians 4:8
There is no shortage of news & media, conversations & information that are negative, hurtful, cruel or filled with gossip. Pray that we would be a people who set our minds on things above, that come from God, and commit to striving to live those things out in the world.

Monday, Sept. 11
Opening Scripture
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. -2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Take a moment to think about where God has or can comfort you in a difficult time. Now think how he might be using your suffering to encourage or comfort someone else. Pray for God's comfort in your life and for how he wants to use you in someone else's life.
Prayer Time
Today we remember and pray for not just those who were impacted and lost loved ones on Sept.11, 2001, as well as those who bravely responded in the moment of crisis. but for all who have lost those they loved to painful, evil acts and those who stand on the front line or respond first in those moments.
Pray that our C3 Coffee Bars would continue to be used as a tool and front door to build relationships and have God-given encounters with those people who are not ready to step into a church yet (but still love coffee).

We want the Spirit to be present in our lives and church, and to empower all the dreams and goals we have to make an impact in our families, community and beyond. Pray and invite the Holy Spirit into your life, our church, and the work we are doing for the Kingdom.

Tuesday, Sept 12
Opening Scripture
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us. -Psalm 67:1
I lift up my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. -Psalm 121:1
As you get started, take a moment to think about how God wants to do good and show you his favor. Take a moment to reflect on the idea that the same God who made the heavens and the earth wants to help you.
Prayer Time
Pray for other churches and church leaders in the area and for unity as we strive to do faithful Kingdom work and share the Good News of Jesus with anyone and everyone who needs to hear it.
The vision of the Rock Church is to help people find what matters by connecting them to Jesus and others.
Our ultimate hope is that people would realize their need for Christ and come to know him.. Take some time to pray and simply ask God to help other people find what matters through us! Read Phil.1:9-10

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. -Joshua 1:9
Where do you find yourself losing heart or hope? Pray for God to give you courage. And pray for God to make our church strong and courageous to stay on mission and reach more people for Jesus.

Wednesday, Sept. 13
Opening Scripture
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. -Psalm 125:1
Where do you put your trust and who/what do you depend on? Is it dependable? Unshakeable? Are there things (people, circumstances) in your life right now you need to trust God with?
Prayer Time
Pray for adoption and foster care. As children are abandoned or removed from their families, and as other families/care-takers step in to fill the gap, pray for all members involved. Pray for God to bring healing and health, and especially to draw them to Himself.
Pray that in our church, throughout our community and around the country, that hearts would be stirred toward Jesus in a fresh and new way with increased intensity and frequency.

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. -James 1:27
The heart of Jesus is that we would love and serve the least and the lost. Where can you serve in the church? What passion or burden has God put on your heart to love and care for the most vulnerable. Pray for God to reveal ways you as an individual and we as a church can continue to love those in need.

Thursday, Sept. 14
Opening Scripture
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. -Matthew 11:28
Think about all the burdens, concerns and worries that you are holding onto. Picture yourself holding out your hands and giving those things to God as you begin your prayer time. Ask God to help you release those things and entrust them to him.
Prayer Time
Pray for our local, state and federal government leaders.
As the Gospel continues to spread rapidly in areas like Africa, Asia and the MIddle East, pray for the men and women who are on the front lines leading the charge and sharing the Good news of Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. -Philippians 4:8
It is really easy in our culture to focus on the negative and be increasingly critical. Ask God to help you have the mind of Christ and focus on those things which honor him and help you represent him well.

Friday, Sept. 15
Opening Scripture
Cast you cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. - Psalm 55:22 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. -Psalm 105:4
Where do you need God to show up in your life today? What concerns do you need to give to him? Tell God what you need and imagine handing your concerns over to him.
Prayer Time
Pray for our church families, families in the community and beyond that are dealing with sickness, pain and loss. Ask God to strengthen and comfort them in their pain or grief.
Pray for those people who will get connected to Jesus through the Rock this year.
Pray for those who God is drawing to him and how he will use you to connect them to Jesus. Pray for the people who will connect by making first time decisions to follow Jesus, get baptized, join a team to serve or become part of a community group.

Ask God to show you ways to use the challenges you've faced to be an encouragement to others.

Saturday, Sept. 16
Opening Scripture
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. -Psalm 59:16.
He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. -Psalm 23:3
Take a moment and reflect on these verses. Where has God encouraged or strengthened you in hard seasons. Take some time to thank God for those moments. Where do you need God to encourage or strengthen you right now. Tell him.
Prayer Time
As we continue our "Finding the Way" series at the Rock, pray for those people who are going to receive and respond to the Good. News of Jesus.
Pray for churches and church leaders around the country that you know of or that God has used to encourage you. As well, pray for churches in general and for God to strengthen, guide and guard the hearts of the men and women leading them.
Closing scripture
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. -Philippians 1:6
There is nothing in your life that will be wasted. Do you trust God with both your good and hard seasons. Bring your prayers and challenges to hin and keep this in mind: He IS at work in you!
