Opening Scripture
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. -Psalm 28:7.
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. -1 Chronicles 16:11
Everything that matters to you matters to God. What's on your mind and where do you need God to show up right now. Where do you need God's strength in your life. Take time to tell him.

Opening Scripture
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. - Psalm 34:1-3
Take some time to reflect on the goodness of God and times when he has blessed or is blessing your life (past, present, future). Take a few moments to be grateful and praise him.
Prayer Time
This Fall, the Rock will be going through a series dealing with issues like stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, depression and suicide. This will be a heavy, but powerful series as we look at Elijah and unpack how God's word bring hope and promise in these very real issues. Please be praying for those who need this Word most and the impact it will make.

As you wrap up your prayer time, think about where you need rest for your soul today. What would that look like? What are you trying to carry that Jesus never intended for you to? And what do you need to surrender or trust to him?

Think of times God has protected you or been working for your good. And remember that God notices you...and he cares. Tell God where you're struggling and need his strength today.

To Him who is able to do far more than we ask, think, or imagine, to Him be all glory, honor and praise. -Ephesians 3:20-21
This verse suggests that when you get to the very end of what you can possibly imagine or think, God is just getting started. Sit with that for a moment and take time to praise the bigness and creativity of God. Then take some time to bring your requests to him.

Opening Scripture
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers the moon and the stars which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? -Psalm 8:3-4
For dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over nations. -Psalm 22:28
Think about the vastness of the stars and galaxies. What does this say about the bigness and creativity of God. Now remember that he is involved in the details of our lives. What does that say about his love and goodness?
Prayer Time
Trunk or Treat is an incredible outreach opportunity that allows us to interact with 100s of unchurched or new families. Pray that this event would allow us to make connection with lots of new people and point them to God.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. -John 14:26
As you close, first remember that whatever you are going through, you have the Holy Spirit advocating just for you and going before God on your behalf (Romans 8:26). The Holy Spirit also wants to help you remember God's word. Spend some time bringing your concerns to God and asking the Holy Spirit to help you remember God's word as you face challenges.

Opening Scripture
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6
And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. -Psalm 12:6
Take a deep breath. Where do you feel anxiety or struggle to trust God. Open your hands and offer those things to him today. Ask him to help you trust his word and its promises.

VIPs: These are our Vision-Inspired People - the men and women who are committed to the vision God has given the Rock to spread the Gospel and who show up and serve countless hours to make sure all of our ministries thrive. God's work through the Rock is dependent on our VIPs. Pray for all the men and women who are currently serving and for God to send more people to get connected and join VIP Teams.
Pray for people who need to and will make the decision to accept the call to follow Jesus.
More than anything, we want people to know, love and follow Jesus. Pray for those people that God is pursuing who will hear his word and make the decision to follow Jesus. Pray for the ways and means God will use to reach them, and ask God how he would use you to be part of leading those people to Jesus.

Imagine that God has appointed you specifically to be part of his plan for sharing Good News and making a difference in the lives of people who need Jesus. Hold out your hands as a sign of surrender and ask God to use your life in beautiful and powerful ways.

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. -Psalm 55:22

Opening Scripture
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. -Psalm 62:8.
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. -Psalm 105:4
In what ways do you need God to show up in your life right now? What concerns or relationships do you need to trust him with? Take some time to tell him those things...and thank him that he will be your refuge and strength.
Prayer Time
Pray for your relationships with spouse, children, parents, family, etc. Ask God to especially bring healing or health or protection in each and any of those areas. Pray for God to leave a legacy through you and to break the chains of an unhealthy or hurtful past.
Pray for our children and future generations in the church.
In Luke 2:52, we're told that Jesus 'grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.' Pray those same words for children to grow in health, wisdom & understanding of God's word, and with his hand of favor and blessing on them.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. -John 14:27
God wants to give something to you...and he wants to take something from you. He wants to exchange his peace for your worries. As you close your prayer time, imagine making this exchange with God. What do you need to give to him? And what would it look like to take his peace into your life. Spend a few minutes talking to him about that.
